Understanding Cart Flags

We are always working to improve your shopping experience and makes it easier to save time and money. Our cart flags are one way we have improved our site to help you see immediately in your cart what potential savings opportunities are available. Some of the flags will offer an option to view other savings or package sizes and others are an alert for you to see important information about that item. Below are some examples of Cart Flags you will see and a short definition for them.

Cart Flag	What it Means
GPO	GPO Drug-This drug saves money and keeps NDC uniformity
Non-GPO	Non-GPO Item - Lower cost options available.
Ground	Ground Only - May be shipped by ground if it's a heavy or hazardous item for example an aerosol that cannot be transported by air
Restricted	Restricted Item - Requires FDA registration and may delay shipping, e.g. Clozapine drug
Max QTY	The wholesaler has a maximum order limit set per day
Short Cycle	Short Cycle dispensing helps long term care pharmacies manage risk associated with changes in patient treatment of condition
Primary Stock Alert	Warning -This item is in short supply and may be out of stock at your primary wholesaler
Pkg Size	Better price on Package Size change available
Reimb Saver	The unit cost from your primary exceeded MAC price however we were able to find an item where we save you money and come in under MAC price
Reimb Alert	Negative Margin possible. This drug exceeds reimbursement MAC price where other clinically identical products may be available.
Certified	Your pharmacy has registered for this item with the FDA or with controlling body, e.g. Clozapine drug
Formulary	This item is on your pharmacy's formulary list
Refrigerated	Refrigerated item requires overnight shipping (Item won't ship on Friday)

Top Four Reports to Increase Sales

Here are some ways to help increase your sales for 2021! Our goal is to help you reduce costs but we also look for ways to help with your in store sales. Your pharmacy's success is ours too! We have designed our reporting around your needs. Keep tabs on your sales and savings right at your fingertips!

1) PharmSaver Savings Report - With PharmSaver you can easily keep track of where your savings are coming from. Using the PharmSaver Savings Report you can input a date range and in an instant be able to see where you are saving money using our platform. Tracking your savings is extremely important for your pharmacy so you can see where you are getting the most savings and where there are areas that you might need to make adjustments.

2) Generic Compliance Report - Making sure you are not interfering with your contract compliance is also important to us. We have designed our site to make sure you are staying in compliance and still saving as much as possible every day using PharmSaver. Making sure that you have your parameters correct (My Account>Manage Account) is the key to making sure that you are fully utilizing the tools we offer for maximum savings. The Generic Compliance Report can be run at any time and will give you an immediate look at where you are at for any given time.

3) Preferred Drug Savings Report - Preferred Drugs are medications that that Medicaid will cover the cost for without the need to request a prior authorization. Utilizing these drugs will not only save you time, but potentially save your pharmacy money by preventing additional loss of reimbursements. Utilizing your benefits in this way will help put money in your pocket over time through time and actual financial savings. PharmSaver is always keeping an eye out for ways to help you simplify your day to day operations to your best advantage.

4) Price Increase Report - Being able to keep track of any drugs that have increased in price and therefore finding alternate options for those drugs is another key way for you to save money and increase sales for your pharmacy. Our Price Increase Report allows you to easily see all the details of a particular drug for a date range selected. This is another way you can help save money for your customers and show you have their best interests in mind. When they see a lower out of pocket based on a change in just a manufacturer or generic, they will notice and appreciate you!

Tech Tip

Access Purchase History with Ease!

At PharmSaver we want to make it easy for you to view your purchase history to help you manage your pharmacy. When checking out your cart our platform will save the details of your purchases including Date, Order Number, NDC, Description, Quantity, Package Price, Item Price, and the Wholesaler for that order.

Once your history information has been populated with multiple checkouts, you will be able to click on the Blue Clock icon in both the Order Page and the View Cart Page. This will display your purchase history for that item with all essential details.

In addition to your purchase history information you will see a Price Trend graph to track where that item is trending. You can also select from a different package size. If there are more package size options for pricing available you will see those in a separate button under the Package Size header. This provides you with different options to compare and find the most economical way to purchase those items. In this screen you can also check the "This NDC Only" box in the upper left next to Details to only display that NDC.
